Hi Backers!
We shipped out 244 orders last week, and have received word that meals are arriving for those orders. Woohoo!
We are sending out another 164 orders tomorrow, so if you're still waiting please don't get too hangry! Our fulfillment and shipping partner had issues getting us tracking numbers for the first 244 orders until today, but we have worked out those issues and should be emailing you tracking numbers for all remaining orders in the next few days. Thank you for your patience.
The only remaining orders to be shipped are all international orders outside of the US and Canada, as we wait for customs clearance issues. Also, all of you who have not yet completed your Backer Surveys. Please reach out if you have questions about completing your surveys.
We received a question about signing up for an "auto-shipment" of the meals each month, and this will be available on our official website, which is nearing completion.

For those of you who got t-shirts and/or totes in your rewards, we will be shipping those separately because our fulfillment partner's process made it difficult to integrate those into the orders without delaying you getting your meals. Shipping Update:
All Kickstarter meals are in production and scheduled to be completed by November 23. Then they will be delivered to our fulfillment partner who will compile your orders and ship to your door.
Assuming everything goes smoothly (hoping!), your meals will ship the week after Thanksgiving.

Sweet Potato Hash Delayed
The Sweet Potato Hash recipe has been delayed for a short time, and for good reason. We are extremely fastidious about the healthiness of our meals. No compromises. After an extensive search, we thought we had found a source for freeze-dried bacon that was ‘uncured’. However, after conducting a final review of the meal ingredients, we discovered that the bacon was cured.
We won’t use cured bacon in any of our meals. Why? Because cured bacon poses a health risk. Cured bacon is made with salt as a curing agent, and nitrite (not nitrate) is the other most frequently used additive. Bacon may also contain other additives such as sugars, wood smoke, flavorings, and spices that are difficult to quantify. Bottom line, we are reformulating this breakfast recipe with another protein source. Once that protein has been found to combine well with the other ingredients to create a delicious meal combination, we will resubmit the meal to the USDA for approval. These approvals typically take 30-60 days, depending on the whims of the USDA.
Thus, we will not be shipping this meal with your Kickstarter orders, but you will have an opportunity to order this recipe from our website at the time it is approved and put on the menu. We will keep you posted via email and our social media accounts.
